1. Who this notice covers
This notice applies to the public NousPolis website and communications sent directly to the project. Until a specific legal entity is identified on the site as its formal operator, references to “NousPolis”, “we”, or “us” mean the project maintainers responsible for the website.
2. Information we may process
- Information you send us: for example, your email address, name, organisation, and the contents of a message sent to [email protected].
- Ordinary technical request data: hosting and security infrastructure may necessarily process information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, and security logs.
- Your cookie-preference choice: the site stores a small first-party preference in your browser's local storage so it can remember whether you selected “Accept” or “Necessary only”.
3. What we do not currently use
We do not currently operate user accounts, advertising systems, marketing pixels, behavioural profiling, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking on the public website.
4. Why information is used
Information is used only as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the website, respond to messages, maintain project correspondence, investigate abuse or technical problems, and remember the privacy choice you make on this browser.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Infrastructure providers may process limited technical data when they host, deliver, protect, or maintain the website. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, to protect the security or integrity of the service, or to establish or defend legal rights.
6. Retention
We aim to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was received, including security, correspondence, record-keeping, and legal obligations. The browser preference remains on your device until you clear site data, change your choice, or the preference is replaced by a newer consent version.

Because this is a public website, requests and communications may be processed across jurisdictions depending on the visitor, project maintainers, and infrastructure providers. We will update this notice if the project adopts a more specific organisational or data-processing structure.
